He had died, and that sucked. More for Stiles than Jade, of course - he was the one that had died, after all, but still. She had checked on him when he'd finally gotten out of the castle, kissed him once when no one was looking and told him that she was glad he was alright, and spent the next few days busy with helping out repairs in the city.

Now, though.. now she was kind of tired of avoiding him. Instead of a text this time, though, she simply showed up outside his bedroom door in Odin, knocking twice.

And if he wasn't home? She'd just sit by the door and wait.

"Oh yeah? Like what things?" He was grinning, feeling like this was just the coolest thing in the world. He was lying in his bed. Naked. With his... girlfriend. And they were just talking about stuff and being dumb. The only thing that would make this better would be pizza and pie.

She was still sort of nervous as hell about all of that, if she was going to be completely truthful. And there were plans to get up soon, to clean up, to maybe go back to her place -- how long was she supposed to stay there? She had no idea, but he didn't seem like he had any complaints yet. "I dunno.. just how nice you are. And respectful, too. That kind of seems like a sheriffy thing to teach."

"You'd like my dad. I think he'd like you too." The ears would take a while to explain to him, but he had a feeling he'd be able to see the girl past the difference. He had.

"My grandpa would have liked you, too, I think. He probably would've thought you were funny." You know - if she hadn't accidentally shot him when she was like eight.

"That's me, the funny guy." He let his arm lift, moving to pet through her hair and play with those ears he loved so much.

She twitched her ears against his hand, gazing distantly at the wall and stroking her fingers against his bare side. Maybe a nap? Probably a nap. "Don't die again, please."

"Not on my list of things to do, Jade." There was that part of him that was more than a little bit happy that she seemed to care that he not die. That's all a guy really wanted out of life; someone who didn't want him to die.

"Yeah, I know." Jade lazily bit at his throat, trying to sort of squirm herself closer as she settled in. "Naptime? Are you tired?"

"Mm, a little. Are you?" He slid his hand so he could play with her hair.

"Yeah." And his hand in her hair was soothing beyond belief, too. "Say, 'goodnight, Jade. I will definitely be right here when you wake up.'"

"I hope so." Because that would be perfect.

"You hope so?" Her eyes were shut. She wasn't moving. "Saaaay it."

He was smiling, grinning from ear to ear. "I want you to be here when I wake up."

She opened one eye to peer up at him, unimpressed. "Shhhh. No. Try again. I need a definitive. You are not going anywhere, are you? 'I, Stiles, will be in this bed, serving as a pillow to you when you wake up from your nap.' C'mon, I even wrote the line for you."

He was surprised that that was what she wanted to hear, but he wound her hair around his fingers and tucked his chin in to look down at her. "I'm not going anywhere, Jade. I'll be here to grope you unceremoniously when you wake up."

Jade grinned up at him, amused when he got it. "Good. Thank you! That is good enough for me. I guess I was a little unclear, huh?" Belatedly, she reached up to remove her glasses, tossing them onto his bedside table before she settled back in and shut her eyes. Okay, so maybe they were kind of gross and smelled like sex, but there were definitely worse things to smell like when dozing off.

They could have a shower when they woke up. Right now, he was happy to just wrap himself around her and let her go to sleep, following not long after.
