He had died, and that sucked. More for Stiles than Jade, of course - he was the one that had died, after all, but still. She had checked on him when he'd finally gotten out of the castle, kissed him once when no one was looking and told him that she was glad he was alright, and spent the next few days busy with helping out repairs in the city.

He was ready for a smack or some kind of retaliation for whatever slight he might have done, but then her lips were on his and he was still riding that orgasmic high and god... it was so easy just to melt into her and let his arm come around her. This was good. This was very good.

"Oh, I'm pretty sure we're something." He knew what she meant, though, looking at her with a soft smile and nodding. "I'd like to be. Very much."

"I'm not necessarily -- good at that. Good at something." She finally, finally moved to straighten her glasses, shifting to bump her bare knees against his. "I am kind of pushy? And I talk a lot. Stiles, I am goddamn annoying. And if that- something is going to be a thing, I want you to know upfront? Before."

"I work with you, Jade. I've seen you at your best and I've had you sniping at me for your worst. If that hasn't chased me away... I think you're just going to have to be stuck with me." He slid his hand to the small of her back, fingers just idly stroking there as he watched her.

She relaxed subtly, moving to touch the tip of her nose to his. "Guess this means I should stop making out with all those other guys, huh?"

He mock growled, leaning in to kiss her lips in a half-joke, half-serious possessive kiss. "Yeah, that'd be nice."

She laughed softly, surprised at that, raising her arm so that she cradle the side of his cheek. "You're so dumb. We're so dumb. We did this backwards."

"Yeah, I kinda thing we did. But hey, we're here, right? We couldn't have screwed up that badly."

"A boyfriend." So what if Jade seemed pretty stuck on that right now. "Cool. Oh my god, we can actually go on dates?"

He laughed and moved in to nuzzle against her, nodding slowly. "Yes, we can go on dates. All the dates you want."
